When does my account switch to BTC Bank?

  • You will receive your new BTC Bank Debit Card in the mail. You can begin using your new card November 8.

  • You now have more account choices available to you.
  • After the banking merger, we automatically moved your account to a similar BTC Bank account in the chart above.
  • If you wish to take advantage of BTC Bank’s Kasasa Checking and Savings accounts, please stop in any BTC Bank location to switch your account type.
  • Please visit www.btcbank.bank for BTC Bank account information.

Can I use the same account numbers?

Yes. In most cases, your deposit and loan account numbers remain the same at BTC Bank. 

Will my direct deposit, automated payments and transfers continue?

 

 


  • Yes. Your checking and savings direct deposit – including Social Security payments, payroll and other government payments, automated payments, Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and transfers – continue without interruption.
Any transactions you make using your previous Home Exchange Bank
     account information will continue to be processed, however, we do ask
     that you update all information to your new BTC Bank routing number
     101916307 and/or debit card number as soon as possible.

Can I use my existing checks and deposit slips?

 


  • You can continue to use the same checks and deposit slips for your checking, savings and money market accounts.
  • The next time you reorder through BTC Bank, your checks will be printed automatically with the bank’s name.

► If you reorder checks through an outside vendor, please ask us for 
     a specification sheet. Please note: BTC Bank can offer check
     ordering at a competitive price over outside vendors.

Can I continue to use my current Home Exchange Bank debit card or ATM card?

  • No. You should have received a new card with the BTC Bank name in the mail. If you have no, please call your nearest BTC Bank location.
  • Your new default daily limit for purchase and withdrawal limits is:
        Purchase Limit: $2,000.00             ATM Withdrawal: $1,000.00
  • You are welcome to stop in any BTC Bank location to instantly receive your new BTC Bank debit card personalized with a school mascot or image of your choice. Choose a card that fits your favorite local school and we’ll donate $10 to that school for every card made.

Will I be able to access my accounts online or on my phone?

 

 

 

Online Banking

Yes! Please go to www.btcbank.bank to access your accounts online.

  • If you’re already using Home Exchange Bank Online Banking, you will use the same username as before and your password will be the last 4 digits of your social security number.
  • You may self-enroll by correctly giving matching name, account number, SSN, phone number and email. If you’re unable to self-enroll, select the Contact Us tab on the BTC Bank website and send us an email that you would like to enroll or call (660) 425-7285.

Telephone Banking 
You will now be able to access BTC Bank’s telephone banking by calling toll-free: 1-877-BTC-BANK or 1-877-282-2265 and following the detailed instructions.

Mobile Banking 
Once you’ve signed up for BTC Bank online banking, you can log into the BTC Bank app on your mobile device by:

  • Downloading the BTC Bank app via the app store.
  • Open the app and log into your BTC Bank account after installation is complete. You may then customize your app settings as you wish.
  • Mobile DepositMake your deposit using your mobile device. You may enroll in BTC Bank’s mobile deposit through the BTC Bank app, as described above.

Will my certificates of deposit (CDs) continue to earn interest?

  • Yes. There will be no changes to rate or term until maturity.
  • Interest will be calculated and paid in the same manner and on the same schedule as before until maturity.
  • You will be notified of any changes to terms and conditions prior to maturity.

Will my loan remain the same?

  • Your existing loan will continue with no changes until date of maturity.
  • Please make any future payments to BTC Bank.

Will my safe deposit box be available?

  • Safe deposit box rentals will continue under the existing lease agreements unless you’ve been previously notified.
  • You will be notified of any changes to terms and conditions prior to your renewal date.

Will my wire transfers continue to be processed?

The routing transit number for sending and receiving funds by wire transfer will change. Please call BTC Bank Bookkeeping with any questions at (660) 425-7285.          

Will my privacy and security continue to be protected?

Absolutely. At BTC Bank, we will continue to protect your privacy and give you choices about how we contact you for marketing purposes.

Are my deposit accounts FDIC insured?

Deposits at BTC Bank are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) up to $250,000.00. If you hold accounts with both BTC Bank and Home Exchange Bank, and your combined balances total more than $250,000.00, it may be possible to provide insurance for your deposits over $250,000.00 by simply altering the manner in which your accounts are titled. In the meantime, separate deposit insurance will be in effect on November 8, 2021, and will remain in place until May 8, 2022. In the case of a time deposit, insurance is in effect through your maturity date.
