BTC Bank announces Sandy Crawford will join the BTC Bank Board of Directors beginning Fall 2026, following the completion of her term and retirement from the Missouri Senate. The appointment reflects BTC Bank’s ongoing commitment to strong, independent governance and the addition of leaders with deep community banking experience and proven fiduciary judgment.
Crawford brings more than 30 years of hands‑on banking experience, combined with a distinguished record of public‑service leadership focused on accountability, oversight, and stewardship. Her appointment is grounded in substance—strengthening the board’s collective governance and community insight.
“BTC Bank is built on disciplined governance, local decision‑making, and a deep understanding of the communities we serve,” said Doug Fish, CEO of BTC Bank. “Sandy Crawford brings a rare combination of community banking expertise, proven leadership as Chair of the Missouri Senate Insurance and Banking Committee, and first‑hand knowledge of agriculture and rural economies—from Sedalia to Buffalo and throughout her Senate district. Her service in the Missouri Legislature strengthened financial stewardship and accountability statewide, and her perspective will add value to our board as we focus on strategic, sustainable growth.”
Crawford most recently served as a Missouri State Senator representing District 28, which includes Benton, Cedar, Dallas, Henry, Hickory, Pettis, Polk, St. Clair, and Vernon counties —areas that closely align with BTC Bank’s agricultural, small‑business, and rural community footprint. She was first elected to the Missouri Senate in August 2017 after serving in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2010 to 2017.
Prior to public office, Crawford spent three decades in community banking at O’Bannon Bank in Buffalo, where she developed expertise in financial services, customer relationships, and risk‑aware decision‑making. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Missouri State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
“I am so honored and look forward to joining BTC Bank as a member of their Board of Directors. My long‑time passion has been to promote youth and agriculture. BTC Bank is the perfect place for me because this is their focus as well. I have worked with BTC Bank at the state level for the past several years. I am impressed by their forward thinking while maintaining a community‑minded and customer‑friendly atmosphere. The future is bright for BTC Bank, and I am excited to become part of their team!”
A lifelong resident of Dallas County, Crawford is a graduate of Buffalo High School and remains actively engaged in agricultural, educational, and civic organizations. She and her husband, John, raise beef cattle near Buffalo, Missouri, where they reside.
Throughout her leadership career, Crawford has earned recognition from numerous statewide organizations representing business, agriculture, education, healthcare, and public administration, reflecting her reputation for principled governance and effective oversight. She has also served on multiple statewide commissions and advisory boards, further underscoring her experience in fiduciary responsibility and long‑term policy stewardship.
